How are we different?

An innovative organisation

The school is a member of the Lab School Network and is inspired by the lab schools’ model. The school is supported by an educational committee that is made up of a psychologist, researchers, pedagogues, experts in both collective intelligence and “soft skills” as well as enthusiasts in education from the business world.
The educational project is built on the basis of co-education:

  • the educational team composed of a teaching director (M/F), teacher(s) and instructor(s) for various activities (coach, artists, scientists…),
  • families (parents are associated with the educational project and can intervene if they wish to do so in the school, depending on the objectives pursued),
  • a multidisciplinary team of researchers (M/F) associated with the school, psychologists, expert(s) from the professional world,

It is managed by the school’s founder, Laurence Calmels.

Pioneering teaching methods

A PEDAGOGY BASED ON RESEARCH

Its objective is to produce a synthesis of the best teaching practices (Montessori, Freinet…) and to participate in current research to offer pupils a beneficial and harmonious education. It carries out “action research” work and assesses the results in order to constantly adjust its methods. In that respect, it is also a genuine laboratory of educational innovations.
Bilingual French-English teaching in reciprocal immersion.
Each child benefits from an individualised curriculum because each child has their own rhythm. The teacher provides a personalised follow-up of each child every week and assigns personal goals.
Small-sized classes: 20 pupils maximum per teacher.
The approaches are interdisciplinary in order to give meaning to learning and to encourage children’s motivation.
The children go on a cultural outing every month (museum visit, exhibitions, fablabs etc…).
A tablet (or computer) is provided for each child so they become familiar with digital tools (use of educational applications, carry out research work, etc.).

A place for multiple activities

Many benefits and services are offered. In addition, coaching, a canteen, day-care and extra-curricular activates are proposed during the day and after class in order to facilitate the organisation of parents and to develop the potential and talents of children.
